The Polaroid system is designed using a custom version of ID Card Maker photo ID software and the latest fingerprint technology. Also included with the system purchase are Polaroid's fastest and most reliable single or dual-sided printer, laptop PC, plastic cards, printer ribbon, digital camera, fingerprint scanner, technical support, and marketing materials. Optional components available to purchase are DNA kits and a label printer for each DNA specimen. This revolutionary laptop system is pre-loaded with the software and printer drivers. It's truly a turn-key system that allows users to setup their systems and print child identification cards immediately for parents and guardians to carry. Storing the child's information and submitting it to the Kid-ID database is optional. If the user chooses, Polaroid and Kid-ID designed a secure system that allows for secure data transmission between the laptops purchased and Kid-ID's national database. After completing a child identification event, simply connect your PC to an Internet connection and your event data will transmit securely to the Kid-ID server. The child information is now readily available to law enforcement agencies around the country should the child go missing. This turn-key program includes everything you need to help make your business entity a valued member of the community. Most child identification programs offer a photograph, fingerprint, and some vital information; however, only Polaroid and Kid-ID offer DNA sampling and instant electronic support. Polaroid and Kid-ID have designed a system that allows a missing child's information to be instantly dispersed to law enforcement agencies. If a child goes missing, the parent or guardian calls Kid-ID headquarters and identifies the missing child by the Kid-ID number on their child's card. Kid-ID will then digitally release the child information upon the Guardian's permission to any and all law enforcement agencies that are specified. Instantly, the law enforcement agency will have the child's pertinent information, current photo, fingerprint, distinguishing marks, guardian information, and possibly a DNA profile.
